This is a true reflection of the political environment in Zimbawe. It´s a story about a woman who is pregnant for 13 months. The baby, who speaks through the woman, is refusing to be born until the country´s socio-political and economic problems are solved. The inclusion in the play of reflective poetry to represent the voice of the community and the soulful mibra (finger piano) symbolize the agony of a nation under siege. Overall the play is a balanced and fair criticism of a nation bedevilled with festering problems. In Zimbawe the play has been designed to stimulate civil society to engage in open debate on the problems saddling the country. Performance in English.
